Starting in 2026, (hybrid) heat pumps will become the new standard for home heating. When replacing their central heating systems, homeowners are obliged to switch to a more sustainable alternative, whereby the (hybrid) heat pump is often considered the most logical solution. To facilitate the transition properly and quickly, Wildkamp and Ferroli are joining forces. Together the companies provide a wide range of heat pumps, efficient logistics and extensive knowledge sharing.
"The collaboration between Wildkamp and Ferroli started early this year, after our visit to the Ferroli factory, R&D department and test and climate chambers in Italy," says Steve Felts, heating and ventilation product specialist at Wildkamp. "The visit convinced us of Ferroli's professionalism and size in Europe. Moreover, our sustainable ambitions match perfectly. Combined with the fine click, it was soon clear that we wanted to continue as partners."
Ferroli has been active as a manufacturer of HVAC products since 1955 and has been developing heat pump systems in the Netherlands for more than thirty years. Both for utility and residential construction and from new construction to renovation. "As early as the late 1990s, we introduced the first ground source heat pumps," says Wim van de Wetering, managing director at Ferroli Netherlands. "Unlike the southern European market, where our ground source and air/water heat pumps have been part of our standard delivery program for years, the Dutch market was not (yet) ready for this. Partly due to the energy transition and high(er) gas prices, this changed five years ago." Colleague and marketing manager Frank van de Wetering: "From that moment on, we have actively tackled the topic of heat pumps again. Because of the high sustainability, efficiency and easy installation, our focus is now mainly on air/water technology, with which we offer an excellent solution for many buildings. In the past two years in particular, sales of our air-to-water heat pumps have accelerated. With the current regulations, the market simply cannot ignore these heat pumps anymore."
"The cooperation with Wildkamp is an important step to continue the rapid sales growth of our heat pumps, to keep the service to our customers high and to actively share knowledge," says Wim van de Wetering. "Especially the national network of branches and the logistical strength of Wildkamp play an important role in this. Moreover, we are very pleased with the commitment of Wildkamp, which really puts its shoulders under our cooperation. Wildkamp is traditionally a family business. The mentality, atmosphere and enthusiasm of all employees appeal to us enormously and have already led to great initiatives." By these initiatives, he refers, among other things, to employee training. At all 46 branches of Wildkamp, extensive explanations about (the operation of) Ferroli heat pumps have been given over the past period. Steve Felts: "In a second phase, our product specialists were given a deeper understanding of the technology, so they can advise customers even better and more complete. After all: every question is customized. Based on heat loss calculations, for example, we are happy to select the right heat pump for each project."
Ferroli and Wildkamp also organize open information evenings at several Wildkamp branches. Both companies notice that there is a huge need for knowledge. Especially among small(er) installers. "During the information evenings we take installers through the basics of heat pump technology," says Frank van de Wetering. "We show what solutions we have in house and how installers can calculate the right capacities. We also take them through installation and commissioning. In a personal meeting, these topics are further explained as desired." Wim van de Wetering: "Together with Wildkamp, we have also developed an appendage/connection set including buffer tank and pump, dirt and air separator, expansion vessel and comprehensive assembly diagrams, which help installers to connect the right components in the right way." Steve Felts: "With the purchase of this kit, we can extend the heat pump warranty from 2 to 5 years."
"Ferroli's heat pumps are a welcome addition to our product range," he emphasizes. "Whereas previously we only had heat pumps for the high-end segment, with Ferroli we can now serve the complete utility and residential construction market." The air/water range varies from monoblock to split systems, from hybrid to all-electric and from 4 to 16 kW heating capacity. "This year, Ferroli is also introducing a monoblock with a heating output of up to 30 kW! Because the monoblock systems can also be set up in cascade, capacities up to 150 kW are no problem at all." The Ferroli products, including the air conditioning program and the Ferroli Giada air conditioner are well in stock at Wildkamp.
