From March 19 to 22, 2024, the industry will gather at the SHK+E ESSEN for the first highlight of the year. Around 300 exhibitors from 15 countries will present their products in the areas of plumbing, heating, air conditioning and electrical engineering at Messe Essen. Craftsmen, planners and other SHK professionals from Germany and neighboring countries will see market-ready innovations for their customers at the trade fair. This year, electric heat generation and efficient installation techniques are the focus of the multifaceted offerings.
"We are very pleased that SHK+E ESSEN is taking place again at the usual time in spring after the postponement due to the pandemic. This was the express wish of the industry, which we were delighted to fulfill," said Oliver P. Kuhrt, managing director of Messe Essen. Hans-Peter Sproten, managing director of the SHK NRW trade association, is convinced: "The SHK craft sector plays a key role in the realization of the energy transition. The SHK+E ESSEN is a must for all companies, because here they can see the products they will later install at their customers' premises. For this, knowledge and know-how are absolutely essential."
At the SHK+E ESSEN, the heart of the energy transition beats in Halls 1 and 3, where the heating sector showcases its innovations. The focus is on cross-sector solutions for the efficient integration of heat, electricity and mobility with the heat pump as the starting point. This will include the presentation of batteries, batteries, energy management systems, solar energy, wallboxes and inverters, which when combined with other sectors form complete systems. In addition to exhibitors' products and innovations, visitors can learn about the "Future of Building Technology" forum in Hall 2. For the heating industry, SHK+E ESSEN is cooperating with its partner the 'Bundesverband der Deutschen Heizungsindustrie'.
INFORMATION
In Halls 6 and 7, the plumbing industry is presenting plumbing installations, water technology and plumbing products. In addition to digital bathroom planning and resource conservation, efficient installation techniques, which are essential for economic success in times of skilled labor shortages, are an important topic. This includes faucets, pipe components and tools and techniques for fixing and sealing. To present this efficiently for visitors, there is a visitor's guide and guided tours and presentations. Thereby, in Halls 1 and 3, attention will also be paid to heating technology.
In Hall 2 and the Galeria, the interested public can learn about tools, technical equipment and products for business mobility in addition to the heating and plumbing offerings. In addition, the SHK+E ESSEN offers other distinctive trade forums on selected future industry topics. These include the 'Campus SHK training, learning + IT' in Hall 2 with continuing education offers and learning support products. In Hall 1, the 'STARTUP@SHK+E ESSEN' sector in cooperation with the 'VdZ - Wirtschaftsvereinigung Gebäude und Energie' can be found. There, young entrepreneurs will show their solutions for digital transformation in the SHK industry.
Everything is in flux, but the requirements for excellent quality drinking water are becoming increasingly stringent. This is due to increasing customer awareness and changing framework conditions due to climate change, as well as higher energy efficiency and hygiene. Those looking for information on high-quality products and innovative services for drinking water supply will find a suitable platform for this consisting of the forum "Treffpunkt Trinkwasser" (Drinking Water Meeting Point) in cooperation with figawa. The offer in Hall 6 includes, for example, the topics of water meters and measuring devices, water treatment and disinfection of drinking water and drinking water installations.
The SHK+E ESSEN is open Tuesday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. More information on exhibitors, offerings and grounds can be found at www.shke-essen.de.
