'Manufacturers multiply knowledge by sharing it'

Manufacturers and installers depend on each other: one makes the products, the other connects everything. It is therefore very important that we all work together. Especially in the current times with a shortage of professionals and major changes within technology. As a manufacturer, we have a responsibility to help the installer along the way with convenience, knowledge and expertise.

As a manufacturer we develop wonderful solutions, but for the final result we need the knowledge and skills of the installer. It is important to contribute to that with training and education. At Brink Climate Systems, for example, we have our own academy. Here we provide free training on all levels of our product package: how to repair faults, how to maintain installations, how to make calculations and how to dimension ducts. In addition, we teach installers about existing laws and regulations and what a well-ventilated home must meet.

(Installation) convenience is also key. More and more manufacturers are capitalizing on this, so that installers can work more easily and spend less time. After all, there is a shortage of skilled workers across the entire construction column, while the government's goal is to build 100,000 houses a year. The building of those houses is falling behind due to economic conditions, laws and regulations, as well as a decrease in the number of skilled workers. Therefore, as manufacturers, we should ask ourselves: how can we make it as easy as possible for the installer? 

In November, Brink will launch a new configurator so that installers can always find a suitable answer when looking for solutions for a healthy indoor climate. Again, we are making our knowledge available free of charge. Time is money and this configurator brings convenience to the installer. He selects the type of house, insulation values and other requirements and a calculation is automatically made for the air volume. The installer immediately sees what materials are needed.

In other words, the installer receives a complete bill of materials and can immediately order the required materials from us. Should he have any questions, he can also first spar with our consulting department based on his calculation. Thus, as a market leader and ventilation specialist, we not only share our knowledge but also convenience with the industry. It makes the preparation for an installation a lot easier and more efficient.
