After Boutique Hotel Blendin Bloemendaal was completed, about a year ago now, it was time to realize its adjacent sister. Last March, Het Eindpunt was completed at this beautiful seaside location. The beautiful location in particular made working on this project special, says Bert Damen, electrical engineering project leader at Techval.
As an E-installer, Techval already worked on the Boutique Hotel under construction company Peter Peters. Here there are 46 rooms with views of the North Sea or the Kennemer Dunes, a bar and terrace. The End Point is right next to the hotel. Guests here can use a meeting facility on the first floor, three luxury suites and a spa on the second floor and an infinity pool on the roof. There are breathtaking sea views from the suites and the pool.
All power supplies, cabling and the Internet were installed by the E-installer. Techval is no stranger to the hospitality industry. It designs, develops, installs and maintains technical installations for hotels, restaurants and offices. Its technology ensures that guests experience even more comfort. "Our experience ensured that we knew exactly what to do," says Damen. "There was a traditional installation with plug sockets. For pluggable, The End Point was too small. In the hotel, we did install everything pluggable."
So although this was a standard installation, Techval encountered some surprises. This had to do with changes and the purpose of the space on the first floor. Fortunately, it all worked out. Damen is happy how the cooperation with other parties went. It was Techval's first time working with Peter Peters, but Damen says it tastes like more. "This is then also a wonderful location to work, you want to be there. It's on the dunes and you look out to sea. The location did cause us to have to take into account the flora and fauna in the area."
Although the hotel and the adjacent property are separate destinations with a totally different appearance, they still form a single entity. Guests of the hotel can also use the facilities within The End Point. And fiber optics, ICT, cameras and solar panels are also interconnected. "Het Eindpunt was a smaller project than the hotel and there will be other guests, but together it forms a whole," Damen said.
