An optimally functioning ventilation system is an absolute must within the residential environment to achieve and maintain a pleasant living environment. To achieve the intended flow rate, the ventilation duct must first of all be completely airtight. Ventilflex, a product of F.F. Kanaalrenovatie from Wateringen in the province of Zuid-Holland, ensures this. The system is applicable during the renovation of various types of ventilation ducts and guarantees a top result quickly, with a minimum of breaking work and without significant inconvenience to residents.
F.F. Duct Renovation serves installers, companies and owners' associations on a custom basis around the renovation of various ventilation and flue gas ducts. With Ventilflex and Ventilflex RKV, the focus is emphatically on the former type of ductwork. "Both products stand for a quick and effortless renovation of ventilation ducts within apartment complexes, among others, but also in catering kitchens, for example," explains Ruud Balink, director of F.F. Duct Renovation. "While we mainly use Ventilflex for the renovation of both individual and vertical collective ventilation ducts, we use Ventilflex RKV for shafts that are not sufficiently fire resistant or when higher fire resistance is required. In addition, we frequently apply Ventilflex for relining old shunt ducts into a mechanical ventilation system. Because in all cases it is not necessary to remove the old duct, we can usually renew a complete ventilation duct within one working day. This fast way of working is very much to the liking of our clients and the end users."
Applying Ventilflex is done in the same simple way as applying FuranFlex, F.F. Duct Renovation's smart and very practical method of renewing flue gas ducts. "We start our work by placing Ventilflex in a flexible state in the ventilation or shunt duct," Balink explains the principle of the product. "By sealing one outlet and blowing hot steam into the other, the material expands and takes the shape of the duct. Then Ventilflex cures and the duct is completely airtight."
F.F. Duct Renovation is active with great regularity when duct renovations have to take place within apartment complexes on behalf of installation companies or owners' associations. "The installation of a new boiler or ventilation box should preferably go together with a renovation of the ventilation duct," Balink teaches. "This is because the old duct is usually connected to an old aluminum duct or a masonry square duct. Because such ducts are not sufficiently airtight, the new system loses capacity. Furthermore, the air is not properly extracted. By applying the Ventilflex lining, we ensure that the ventilation ducts will be functioning as before in no time."
